 Here is what the old style illumination looked like with incandescent lamps that draw 1000 milliamps. These photos were taken with an iPhone, so they are somewhat fuzzy. |
 Old-style incandescent illumination. Even with maximum brightness, you do have to aim the lamps pretty carefully at what instruments you want to see, because the 'spot' is pretty narrow. |
 And the following pictures are of the LED illumination that only draws about 100 milliamps. Notice the 'spot' is wider and tapers more gradually. |
