 New Asus tablet on left is slightly smaller than the Q550, which is a good thing in the cramped Mooney M20A cockpit. I purposely shot this photo in bright sunlight so you can see the display is bright enough. Both these displays, by the way, are brighter than an iPad by quite a bit. The tablet has a more distracting reflective glare than the Q550. |

 Here are some displays with more color. The VivoTab touch screen and processor are much MUCH more responsive than those of the Q550. |
 Testing in the cockpit in bight sunlight, you can see the display is more than adequate to the task. |

 After mounting in a homemade yoke mount I riveted up out of scrap aluminum, with a RAM ball mount on the back. It's a better size than the Fujitsu Q550 from the standpoint of not blocking the view of the bottom row of instruments. |
